Projects

This page will grow with the work. For now, it shows how a FIG project is born, delivered and evaluated.

Current status: FIG was established in 2026 and is structuring its first projects. We do not publish results that do not yet exist. As soon as the first project starts, it will appear here with its objectives, indicators and progress.
Method

How a FIG project is born

The same path for every project, whatever the area or the funder.

01

Diagnosis

Fieldwork in the community and analysis of available data. The problem is defined in measurable terms, not in generalities.

02

Design

Objectives, activities, budget and indicators. What counts as success is written down before we start.

03

Partnership

Identifying delivery and funding partners, and formalising each party’s role.

04

Delivery

Implementation with our own team and local partners, against a work plan with named responsibilities.

05

Monitoring

Regular data collection against the agreed indicators. Course correction when the data justifies it.

06

Evaluation and publication

A final report with results achieved and not achieved, published in the Transparency section.

Criteria

What we accept as a project

We receive proposals from organisations and from communities. Not all move forward. These are the criteria we apply.

  • Addresses a documented problem, not an assumed one
  • Falls within at least one of FIG’s three areas
  • Has measurable indicators defined up front
  • Has an identified local partner, involved from the design stage
  • Has a realistic prospect of continuity beyond the initial funding
  • Complies with Mozambican law and sector regulations

Have a project proposal?

Send us the essentials: the problem, the community, what you propose to do, and how we will know whether it worked.
