Impact you can measure where people actually live
We are a Mozambican non-profit foundation, based in Maputo, working across three fronts that hold each other up: health, education and the environment.
Three fronts, one objective
We do not separate health from education, or education from the environment. A child who falls ill misses school. A community without clean water falls ill. That is why we work on all three at once.
Health
Bringing health services closer to those who live far from them. Health promotion, prevention, support to rural health facilities and health literacy in communities.
See our health work →Education
Training that opens doors. School support, teacher development, and free technical and vocational training for young people and adults.
See our education work →Environment
Protecting what sustains life. Environmental education, waste management, reforestation and adaptation to a changing climate.
See our environmental work →From diagnosis to public accountability
Listen and diagnose
No project starts in an office. It starts with data and with the community telling us where it hurts.
Deliver with partners
We work with government, local organisations and funders. Nobody solves anything alone.
Measure and report
Every project has indicators agreed up front. What we measure is published, including when the result is not what we hoped for.
We are starting out, and we say so plainly
FIG was established in 2026. We do not yet have years of reports to show. What we have is a formal structure, a clear mission and a defined way of working.
We would rather be transparent about our starting point than announce results that do not exist. As projects get under way, everything will be published here.
- Statutes approved and governing bodies constituted
- Head office in Maputo City, working nationwide
- Board of Directors and Supervisory Board in place
- Multi-sector mission defined: health, education and environment
- Partnership model as the main route to mobilising resources
Want to build this with us?
We are looking for institutional partners, funders and local organisations working in health, education and the environment in Mozambique.
